Middle School Mega Star Meet Update
Callie Sinke took 1st place in the 3200 for small school divisions from across the state and 2nd place in the 1600.
She broke 4 middle school records in her middle school career. 400 meter dash, 800 meter run, 1600 meter run, and 3200 meter run.

The Portager Track and Field team has arrived to Hudsonville for the D4 Finals! Good Luck to this years State Qualifiers! We have five individual state qualifiers: Phillip Putney in the Pole Vault, Mason Sinke in the 3200m run, Ava Pike in the 200m dash, Jennifer Kmiecik in the 800m run and Addy Zeller in the 3200m run and the 1600m Relay (Jen Kmiecik, Lily Artman, Ava Pike and Addy Zeller, alt. Ashlyn Blackmore). Tomorrow, June 1, is the big dance! Let’s go Portagers!!! 💙💛

A HUGE congratulations to Mason Sinke, the new SCHOOL RECORD HOLDER in the 3200m run! Mason smashed the record (previously held by Tigran Bailey - 10:03 in 1996) at the Distance Under the Lights at Houseman Field in Grand Rapids, clocking a 9:50.71!!! Your dedication to your craft, discipline, and perseverance through adversity has been inspiring to witness. You epitomize the “Buffalo” mantra that has guided this entire team throughout the season. Congratulations, Mason!!

Congratulations to Peyton Clouse, Caden Bradford, and Carson Bradford for being awarded All-Conference recognition for golf this spring! Peyton finished first-team All-Conference, Caden finished second-team All-Conference, and Carson received honorable mention All-Conference honors.
A big congratulations to our All-Conference Track and Field Athletes. At last night’s Northwest Conference Championship in Kingsley, among a steep competition, junior Mason Sinke was the Northwest Conference Champion in the 800 meter run and Conference Runner Up taking 2nd place in the 1600 meter run missing top honors by .19 seconds. Junior Ava Pike was Conference Runner Up taking 2nd place in the 200 meter dash. Freshman Addy Zeller was another Portager earning 2nd Team All-Conference honors coming in 2nd place in the 3200 meter run. Sophomore Jennifer Kmiecik was All Conference Honorable mention in the 800 meter run taking 3rd place. Congratulations to all our Portager Track and Field Athletes who had a successful season! These four runners, along with Philip Putney and LilyAnn Artman, will continue their season preparing for the State Finals Championship on June 1 in Hudsonville.
