Ms. Haminger and Mr. Mauntler's second grade students class pose with the Onekama Elementary "O," awarded to the elementary school's most spirited classroom during Homecoming week!

The second graders took a trip to the Spirit of the Woods Club in Brethren to explore the property for wild mushrooms. To say the least, the class did awesome!
Several varieties of mushrooms and edible forage were found. The class learned about fungi and how mushrooms grow. They also cultured a few spore kits and will, hopefully, be growing their own mushrooms in the class.

Mr. Mauntler's second grade classroom was full of school spirit during Homecoming Week this year. The second graders won the elementary "O" for Spirit Week!

This October, Mr. Mauntler's 2nd graders learned about fire safety from local firefighters.
