On Saturday, September 28, the Onekama Portagers varsity football team took the field for Onekama's annual Homecoming football game. This year's game pitted Onekama against rivals Bear Lake, who entered the game with a 1-3 record with the team's sole win coming from a forfeit. The Portagers overpowered Bear Lake on both sides of the field en route to a four-touchdown victory, moving Onekama to 4-1 on the season.

Onekama travels two hours to 1-4 Central Lake this Friday, October 4 for their Homecoming and Warrior game; Central Lake's sole win came against Pellston, 28-22. The game kicks off at 7 PM.
