Interview with Mrs. Megan Delke, Secondary Social Studies Teacher
Conducted and transcribed by Carleigh Peterson (Class of 2027)

Today, we continue our spotlight series produced in OCS's Journalism & Yearbook course. We are spotlighting Mrs. Megan Delke, who joined OCS in 2023-24 alongside her husband Mr. Evan Delke (secondary math). Mrs. Delke recently accepted and began the role of National Honors Society advisor.

CP: What is your first memory from school?

Mrs. Mary Bergren gave me a tour of the building right after my interview.

CP: How do you show your school spirit?

Supporting students at extracurricular events in my Onekama gear!

CP: What inspires you the most?

Feeding my pets. Gotta make money to keep them fed!

CP: What would students be surprised to find out about you?

I received a scholarship for bowling, and I also have made my own clothing.

CP: What's a school sport or activity you enjoy watching?

Volleyball!

CP: One more... If you could pass on any wisdom to your students, what would you share?

Don't be scared to try new things.

Thank you, Mrs. Delke, for being our first teacher featured this academic year! We look forward to bringing more Staff Spotlights to the website this semester and school year from across OCS.
