In April the Manistee Intermediate School hosted the Elementary Science Olympiad competition at Kennedy
Elementary. More than 325 third through sixth grade students attended representing Kennedy, Bear Lake, Brethren, Onekama, Manistee Catholic and Trinity Lutheran.General Education director Kay Salyer stated, “We are proud to offer student programs like Science Olympiad to
schools in our ISD. Our hope is to support learning through hands on experiences in collaboration with all schools
in the county. We’d like to thank principals, teachers, aides and parents for their support in this project because
they run the events for all students. We appreciate their hard work and time volunteered for this event.”
