2017 Bond Projects

The Owner, Onekama Consolidated Schools, will receive sealed bid proposals for the 2017 Bond Projects.  Proposals may be mailed or delivered in person to Onekama Consolidated Schools Administration Building, 5016 Main Street, Onekama, MI 49675.  Attn:  Kevin Hughes, Superintendent. 

All bids are due Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at the Administration Office. All bids will be publically opened and read aloud at 4:10 p.m. in the Onekama School Media Center.

(Any bids received after the scheduled bid time will be returned to the bidder unopened)

 

·       A Pre-bid Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 3:45 p.m. in the Onekama School Media Center.

·       Final Bidder Questions – January 22, 2018 by 5:00 p.m.

·       Final Addendum Issued – January 24, 2018 by 5:00 p.m.

·       Post Bid Interviews – February 5 & 6, 2018

·       Board Contract Approvals – February 12, 2018 Board Meeting

 

The Project Architect is Spicer Group – 230 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI  48607

The Construction Manager is Wolgast Corporation, 1691 M-32, Suite 100, Alpena, MI  49707 

 

Electronic Copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained by notifying the Construction Manager of your intent to bid.  There is no cost for electronic files.  Bidders who desire electronic plans and specifications shall forward a request to Luke Gerhart, Email:  lgerhart@wolgast.com or to Christie Bigelow-Huver Email:  chuver@wolgast.com.  A link to download the plans and specifications will be sent back to you.

 

A Bid Security in the amount of five (5%) of your Base Bid shall accompany each proposal or proposal combination.  The Bid Security may be in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier’s Check, or Money Order.  NO personal or company checks will be accepted as bid bonds.  Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid date.

 

The project consists of renovations to the existing building & Site.  The work will be broken down into the following scope categories:

                  060000 – General Trades; 075000 – Roofing; 222300 – Mechanical; 260000 – Electrical

                   

Familial Disclosure

All bidders must provide familial disclosure in compliance with MCL 380.1267 and attach this information to the bid.  The bid shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner or the employee of the bidder and any member of the board, intermediate school board, or board of directors or the Superintendent of the school district, intermediate superintendent of the intermediate school district, or chief executive officer of the public school academy.  The District shall not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement.    

 

Iran Business Relationship Affidavit

All bidders must provide a signed Iran Business Relationship Affidavit.  Effective April 1, 2013 all bids, proposals, and/or qualifications statements received in the State of Michigan must comply with the “Iran Economic Sanctions Act, 2012 P.A. 517.  The District shall not accept a bid that does not include this signed affidavit.

 

Owners Rights

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, accept a bid other than the low bid, and to waive informalities, irregularities, and/or errors in the bid proposals, which they feel to be in their own best interest.
