Peep

By Jake

This year in Mr. K’s class the students hatched chicks.  Jakob is a student in Mr. K’s class.  Jakob said that Mathu Gardeners mom brought the eggs.  He said he was excited when he first the eggs.  He said the eggs were tan and white.  Jakob also said that the class put X’s and O’s on the eggs.  They did that so they would know what side to flip them on. He said the class flips the eggs twice a day.  The incubator is what keeps the eggs warm.  Jakob said the eggs ate the yolk to grow in the egg.

Crack! Peep!  The eggs are finally here after 21 days. Jakob said that he was excited to see the chicks.  He told me that they put coins in there water and food so they can see it.  Jakob said that they feed them chick starter.  Jakob said what he liked the most about the chicks is when they came out of the eggs.

Chickamainia

By Cyerah

This year in Mrs.Lymans class her students hatched baby chicks. Matthew is a first grader in Mrs.Lymans class. Mr.K gave the class the eggs. Matthew thought that the eggs were lizards. He said that the eggs were brown and white. The first thing that you had to do with the eggs was put X’s and O’s on the eggs. One thing that the kids had to do everyday with the eggs was turn over the eggs. When Matthew said how many times to turn the eggs he said five times but then he said that it was 2 and that he was just trying to be funny. The incubator makes the eggs stay warm and cozy. The way the chicks stayed alive was to eat the yolk inside of the egg.

Chirp chirp! It finally took the chicks to hatch in 21 days. Matthew felt guilty because he wanted the eggs to be lizards. After the eggs hatched they out coins in the water and food to see where the food and water was. The chicks ate chickfood. The one thing that Matthew liked the most is that there were fluffy and cute. The first graders had an outstanding time hatching chicks.

Here Comes A Peeping Surprise

By Shane

This year in Mr. K’s class the students hatched chicks.  Jakob is a student in Mr. K's class.   Matthew Gardner’s mom gave the eggs to Mr.K's class. When the eggs came in Jakob was excited. The eggs were tan and white.  They used a box called an incubator to keep the eggs warm.  Jakob said they put X’s and O’s on the eggs, and then they turned them two times a day.  He said that the chicks ate the yolk to survive and grow.

Jakob said it takes 21 days for the eggs to hatch.  After 21 days, the eggs were ready to crack. The chicks popped out of the eggs.  Jakob said there were coins in the food and water so the chicks would see themselves.  The chicks ate chicken food and drank lots of water. Jakob liked being interviewed and learned a lot about chicks.  He was happy that he got to raise chicks in his classroom.
