This is a required meeting for all presidents and representatives of each class. We will be selecting the 2015-2016 officers for student council and discussing Homecoming 2015. If you have questions, see Mrs. Torrey. The Arbor Day Celebration is May 9th starting at 10:00am at North Point Park in Onekama. After a presentation by Josh Shields from the Manistee Conservation District, they will be planting several larger trees in the new arboretum. Please bring your shovel and work gloves and join in the fun. The Portage Lake Watershed will be distributing free trees or native bushesto take home. Refreshments will be provided. Reminder to those signed up for the dance team: Tryouts are May 15th at 3 pm in the library. Also to those currently in 8th thru 11th grade if you are interested in signing up for the dance team it is not too late. A sign-up sheet is in the office.
Volleyball Sign-up for grades 9-12 for Fall is in the Student Services Office. SEEKING A PET FREE FAMILY or two for a couple exchange girls that we have not been able to accept into our CETUSA program because they need a pet free home. We cannot accept them until a family says they will welcome them into their home for the exchange. Here are the girls!: Minttu - a 16 year old girl from Finland. She is in the 11th grade with a B+ average. She is the competition winner from Finland and has won a scholarship to participate in the program. She is Lutheran will attend church monthly with her host family. She is a Scout Leader, loves badminton, ballet, drawing and painting. Julia - a 16 year old girl from Luxembourg. She has no religion, but wants to participate in any religious activities with her host family weekly. She is a vegetarian, but has no issues living with a host family that enjoys meat. Her top interests are playing Cello, learning languages, hiking, drama and going to the movies. She is a B+ student.
