Premier Driving Academy will be offering Segment I Driver’s Education at Bear Lake High School beginning on May 9th 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Flyers are available in the Student Services Office.

Onekama Arbor Day Celebration at the Village Park on May 7th at 10:00 a.m.  Bring a friend and help plant trees.  Refreshments will be served and a guest speaker, Josh Shields will speak on Oak Wilt Diseases.

This Saturday at 7pm, the Manistee Benzie Area Children's Chorus is giving a concert at Trinity Lutheran Church of Arcadia.  Onekema students Wabaa Medawis (3rd) and Amanda Babcock (9th) will be singing along with 40 others.  The program will include Be Our Guest from Beauty and the Beast and poems by Tolkien set to music by Donald Swann, plus other great works for choir.  Tickets are sold at the door.  

Attention all girls who are going in grades 9th thru 12th  There is a sign-up sheet in the office  if you are interested in the Dance Team for next school year. There will be a meeting on Monday, May 9th at 8 am in the library.  Please stop by the office to sign-up no by later than May 6th.  Remember - if you are in 8th grade this year you may sign up.

Onekama Consolidated Schools has teamed with Central Michigan University to host a middle school and high school summer volleyball camp at Onekama Schools.  Save the dates:  July 21, 22 & 23.  More details will be coming soon.

Volunteer Opportunities! I am the local coordinator with CETUSA, and I am looking for OHS families to host international exchange students for the 2016/17 school year.

Our students speak English and come with full health insurance and their own spending money. Host families are asked to provide three meals per day, some transportation and a family atmosphere.

Students are from all can choose! Italy, Venezuela, Switzerland, Thailand and many more!!  They come for one semester (4 1/2 mo) or the school year (9 1/2 mo).  Now is the time to choose your student for this fall!!  Please contact Cathy French at or message me on Facebook!
