Softball practice the rest of the week inside at five o'clock  until weather improves .

Please return all  Portager Pride Backpacks to Mrs. K so they can be distributed again in May.  

New items in the vending machine:  Strawberry Gogurt, Trix Cereal Bar and Coco Puff Cereal Bars.  Cereal bars will be cold and hard at first, but after a few minutes, they soften up and taste great!  Coming soon, by popular request,  TRUMOO Chocolate Milk!

County Wide Athletic Physicals on May 13, 2014 5:00 – 7:00pm @  Manistee High School with Dr. Joel Anhalt – Lead Physician.  Cost is $25.00 per athlete  ~  $60.00 family.  Proceeds will be used to fund athletic needs including the “Hardship” scholarship fund.  Remember - physicals are also needed for Pop Warner Football as well as Middle School Sports.

Junior/Senior Prom is Saturday, May 10th. Tickets are $45 per person and will be sold until Tuesday, May 6th.  Tickets will be sold during lunch.  

Manistee Swim Team tryouts are May 7th & 8th 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. for boys and girls ages 6 to 18.  Flyers are available in the Student Services Office.

NEVER GIVE UP! buttons to support the Corey family are on sale in the Student Services Office.

Manistee Youth and Futures Team Tennis for students under age 14 sponsored by the MRA begins June 16th.  Cost is $50.  Registration deadline is May 30th.  Flyers are available in the Student Services Office.

Camp Arcadia on Lake Michigan will be having an Alpha Teen Retreat June 8-14.  To register, you must be entering 9th or 10th grade next year.  Flyers are available in the Student Services Office.

The Michigan Dept. of Transportation is offering a Youth Program May through August for students ages 16 and over who have at least a 2.5 GPA.  Crew leaders $10/hour and workers $8.50/hour.  Activities include culvert cleanout, weed whip guardrails, litter pick up, park work, etc.  Apply at the Road Commission, 8946 Chippewa Hwy., Bear Lake.  Flyers and more information are available in the Student Service Office.
