STUDENTS - IF YOU HAVE PAPERWORK THAT YOUR PARENTS HAVE SENT WITH YOU TO TURN IN TO THE STUDENT SERVICES OFFICE, PLEASE BRING IT TO THE OFFICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

The Josten’s rep will be here on October 7th 11:00 - 11:30 a.m. in the Media Center to take Senior’s Graduation Orders.


5 & 6 Grade Girls Basketball sign up is in the Student Services Office.


The Manistee County Health Department will be holding a flu shot clinic on Monday, October 20th 3:00-5:00 p.m. in the Cafetorium.  If you have insurance through a company on their list, they will bill the insurance.  If not, cost is $35/Flu, $38/High-Dose, FluMist, Preservative Free or $97/Pneumonia.  Flyers and more information is available in the Student Services Office.


On Friday, September 19th, your child received a free Spirit T-Shirt compliments of the Onekama Athletic Boosters.  This is the 2nd year of this initiative which allows your student free admission to all home athletic events except MHSAA (Michigan High School Athletic Association) sponsored tournaments.  To guarantee free entry, your child must wear and display the current year’s t-shirt to the ticket taker.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Athletic Director at 231-920-8115.  As always, thank you for your continued support of your child’s school.


Bear Lake High School is having a Sadie Hawkins Dance (Girls ask the Boys) on October 11th 8:00-11:00 p.m.  Dress like your date!  $5/person or $8/matching couple.  High school students only!


Please Support Prom Boutique by returning your borrowed dress or donating a gently used prom dress.  All donations can be dropped off at your HS Office.


The Onekama Fall Festival sponsored by the PLA will be held on Saturday, October 11th.  The community may vote for their favorite scarecrow by bringing a canned good or non-perishable item to the festival.  Pictures of all of the scarecrows in the contest will be on a board for all to see and vote.  More information is available in the Student Services Office.


Essay contest entry forms and information for Middle School and High School students are in the Student Services Office.  These are VFW sponsored essay competitions and gives students an opportunity to write essays expressing their views on democracy.    Return forms & essays by October 27th.  Questions may be directed to Mrs. Bergren.


The MRA is taking registrations for their fall classes that are beginning soon. More information is available by calling 723-9274.
